Natasha is an Of Counsel in the International Arbitration group in Singapore. She handles a broad range of legal work, from corporate and advisory work to dispute settlement.
Her recent experience includes providing a broad range of advisory and corporate services to a financial technology Singapore-based company which is currently seeking dual-listing. The range of work involved includes the acquisition of a company and its assets, advice on the structuring of loans and preparing the relevant loan documents and security documents. She also provides support in employment matters, corporate structuring (including preparation of Shareholders’ Agreements and Joint Venture Agreements) and customises contracts according to the business need (including trust documents, distributorship agreements, investor agreements, joint venture agreements, reseller agreements, distributorship agreements, asset purchase agreements, licensing agreements).
Her recent experience also includes bringing a claim for minority oppression under the Companies Act before the Singapore High Court. She is also involved in arbitrations before the SIAC and the ICC, with the most recent arbitration being a claim for S$1 million in a multi-national and multi-party dispute.
Natasha’s experience with both advisory / corporate services and dispute settlement has enabled her to be more effective in both types of work. In drafting contracts or providing advice, her experience in dispute settlement allows her to pre-empt common issues that may potentially arise. She uses this experience in her contract drafting and advice to put her clients in a position that would be useful in the event of a dispute in the future. Her experience with advisory / corporate services enables her to better understand the commercial realities of corporate clients. This enables her to aim to settle disputes in a holistic manner.
