Evelyne is our Associate in our Litigation Practice Group, and Corporate and Commercial Practice Group.
She is a Ministry of Education of Brunei Darussalam scholar, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, in 2020. Her academic journey encompassed a broad spectrum of legal disciplines, including healthcare law, environmental law, and international human rights law.
Evelyne further honed her legal expertise by completing the Barrister Training Course at BPP University, Leeds, in 2023. Following her call to the Bar of England and Wales, she embarked on her pupillage at Yusof Halim and Partners, where she gained extensive experience in various practice areas such as criminal and civil litigation, corporate law, probate, family law, banking, and conveyancing.
After completing her pupillage, Evelyne joined the firm in 2024 and has been instrumental in assisting Nadeeya in commercial litigation, as well as collaborating with Roslyna and Tracy on corporate matters as well as regulatory and compliance advisory services for both local and international businesses. She also contributes to corporate secretarial services, ensuring compliance for our corporate clients.
Evelyne’s commitment to leadership and environmental advocacy is evident through her participation as a YSEALI (Young South-East Asian Leadership Initiative) alumna. Selected by the US Embassy to Brunei Darussalam, she engaged in an exchange program in Hawaii, United States, focusing on navigating environmental solutions.
Evelyne was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2023 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in October 2024.
