Harry Elias Partnership LLP Partner and Head of Employment Practice S Suressh has been featured in an article by The Straits Times titled “Overemployed: A look at those who secretly juggle 2 full-time jobs”.
Commenting on the ethical conflict, Suressh said some employers – such as MOE – require exclusive service, or permission to take on additional employment. Suressh also advised that those who are working two jobs should avoid conflicts of interest. He added “The employee should not work for a direct competitor of their employer. To do so can be a ground for dismissal.”
