Eversheds Harry Elias, the Singapore office of global law firm, Eversheds Sutherland, has promoted Shaun Leong to Partner.

Shaun was an Of Counsel in the International Arbitration team. He advises domestic and international organisations on complex cross border commercial disputes with a particular focus on clients in the energy, financial services and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Eversheds Harry Elias in 2018, Shaun worked with other leading international firms. He also served as a Magistrate and Assistant Registrar of the Singapore Supreme Court. Shaun is an accredited International Arbitrator of the Federation of Integrated Conflict Management and a contributing author to the “White Book” (Singapore Civil Procedure), “Chitty on Contracts”, and “Singapore International Arbitration Law and Practice.”

Francis Goh, Head of International Arbitration at Eversheds Harry Elias, commented:

“Shaun’s experience is well-suited to advising our global and regional clients. These organisations expect strategic advice from senior lawyers who have a detailed understanding of their business and the commercial challenges they face. Shaun’s promotion is entirely aligned to this strategy.”

Philip Fong, Managing Partner at Eversheds Harry Elias, noted:

“Shaun’s promotion reinforces our reputation as one of the leading Singapore and regional disputes teams. Singapore is a major arbitration and business centre and I am confident that Eversheds Harry Elias will continue to play a prominent role in the city’s success.”
